Mailgun helps me verify my email list to ensure valid email addresses. This is important for email deliverability and for ensuring my clients receive the information they need from me. It can be a little confusing to get Mailgun setup. Fortunately, they provide step-by-step instructions. It would be better if they gave more video instruction for the "how-to".

Email deliverability for outgoing transactional email... It just works! Easy step by step wizards to get some of the more tricky configuration things in place, already integrated into the platforms I use as a developer. If anything, I'd like there to be a plan between the free and the foundation plan, as some of the paid features would be very useful to experiment with in hobby projects.

We used to run our business email through the same mail servers as our product emails. It was a continual pain point. We would seem to end up in continual loop of blacklists and lobbying to get off of blacklists for seemingly no good reason. No longer with SES. Low volume of real people in business email and high volume of transactional emails through SES with no hassles.
Mid-Market
Our IT dept made the switch to Amazon SES about 1.5 years ago. Because SES we use to run tests and figure out email issues in the marketing department, which is not our job. It became our job when we saw low engagement. With SES we haven't brought up any issues with IT for a very long time. There are no dislikes; the best an email-sending service can do is deliver emails every time and fast. Marketer concentrating on email messaging is how we can best send our time.
