What I like best about SMTP.com is that I don't have to worry about junky and spammy websites causing the shared IP address to get penalized. That was the most critical factor for me when it came to me choosing SMTP.com over a competitor. The two main dislikes I have at the moment are that SMTP.com doesn't have a more affordable plan, and it does go down for a few minutes every few months or so, which could equate to lost leads.

They have quite an aggressive sales team but the level of support and expertise they have is amazing. We had deliverability issues with sparkpost before and they just shut down our account and with smtp folks we were able to quickly setup everything and have good results so far. No interface to manage email campaigns

Best about this product is -Easy to handle, Better deliverability, Track opens, clicks, unsubscribe, bounce, etc, Have template builder, Get help of customer sucess in-case face any issues such as email deliverability, spam issues etc. We have implemented the same in our marketing automation flow through webengage and the jorneys works well. We would need more support in future whenever we increase our automation journey flow!

The only thing I don't like is that domain verification resets after a given timeframe. But I don't think that's something specific to Sparkpost. We could use some API-based technologies and connect transactional messaging with SMTP. The solution is effective. Our inquiries were answered by the documentation. We have to take care of our expenses as a startup. Elastic Email provides a fantastic solution at a reasonable cost. We also adore their support staff. Although we didn't frequently require them, whenever an issue arose, their prompt response relieved our pain.
